APSIPA U.S. Local Chapter will organize a panel discussion on “Convergence of Machine Learning and Signal Processing” at 5-6:30pm PST, Nov. 11

This panel brings together leading researchers from academia, industry, and government in the areas of machine learning and signal processing. They will discuss how machine learning has had major impacts on signal processing theory and applications (e.g. image processing and speech recognition).  Signal processing has also had a strong influence on machine learning.  The panelists will discuss the convergence of these two areas along with their perspectives on the future of these areas.
